Carl Canter – Principal

Before founding Canter, Carl Canter established a stellar reputation for customer service and project management during a 13-year tenure with furniture and architectural wall manufacturer KI. At KI, Carl garnered multiple sales accolades and consistently ranked in among the company’s top five representatives for performance. Based on these results, he was promoted to district manager for the Colorado and Utah territories and became the youngest individual in the company’s history to assume this role.

Carl left KI to found Canter in 2002, where he has continued his emphasis on customer service and efficient project management. With the goal of developing a better experience for clients, partners and employees, Carl has innovated the company’s service solutions to create a hands-on model for better collaboration between all parties.

Carl has brought his knowledge and expertise to a variety of important projects, most notably the Level 3 Communications campus restack, the United States Air Force Academy’s Fairchild Hall, Colorado College’s Tutt Science Building and Denver’s Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

Natalie Larson – Architect & Design Community Consultant, Greater Denver Territory Sales

Natalie has an Executive MBA and twelve years of experience as a performance driven leader in commercial, nonprofit and government sectors. She has a strong background in analyzing market trends to create innovative and effective solutions that generate dramatic returns on investment. Natalie values being a part of making people’s surroundings not only comfortable and functional but extraordinary. She loves helping customers see their visions and designs come to life as they plan their work-life environments. And, one of her greatest strengths is understanding customer insights to inspire how processes and projects can be better designed, managed and delivered across all levels of an organization. Having grown up in Colorado with a passion for the outdoors, Natalie is enthusiastic about infusing creative ways to bring natural beauty and ambient light indoors through strategic use of furniture and architectural walls. She is adept at building enduring partnerships and has an unwavering focus on exceeding client expectations.

Michele Abeyta – Northern Colorado and Wyoming Sales Representative

With eight years of dedicated experience in the interior furnishings industry, Michele Abeyta has forged strong relationships with clients throughout Colorado and Wyoming, first as a project manager for Canter and then as a specialized sales rep. Michele’s background in project management informs her current client relations work by helping her craft customized solutions and manage the process for her clients until their total satisfaction is achieved. Michele’s high energy, professionalism and superb attention to detail promote successful working relationships with superior project results. She often functions as the key liaison between the client and the furnishings experts at our manufacturer partners.

Tim Provost – Southern Territory Sales Representative

Tim has been providing furnishing and interior services through direct interaction with Designers, Facility Managers, Project Managers and Purchasing Groups for over 14 years in the Colorado Market. Tim maintains an ongoing awareness of Industry Trends and Product Innovations giving his client base a solid resource for their ever changing needs. Tim’s experience in the Colorado market spans across many different user profiles, including: Healthcare, K-12, Higher Education, Military, GSA, State and Local and Corporate clients.

Ben Jenkinson – Utah Territory Sales Representative

For the past seven years, Ben Jenkinson has serviced Canter’s diverse clientele throughout Utah. He provides an expert level of product to the sales and distribution of KI, Krug, RT London and Pallas products. Ben also provides direct client relations to Canter’s Fortune 1000 corporate customers, college and university clients, healthcare facilities, science and technology companies, and federal government contacts. In addition to guiding Canter’s clients through the design and purchase process, Ben oversees product installations and maintains client relations well beyond the sale and implementation stages.

Kayla McCullough – Interior Designer

Kayla has a Master’s of Science degree in Interior Design and Sustainable Practices. Kayla has become an integral addition to the Canter team with her unmatched skill set in listening, understanding, and recommending solutions based on specific need. She is proficient in space planning and visual applications. Kayla aims to provide clients with a full spectrum design services to maximize creative potential and excite a diverse range of users.

Jeff Smith – Project Manager

Jeff Smith adds depth to the Canter team with a deep background in product installation, project management and general operations work. Jeff’s career in the commercial furniture industry began with Herman Miller in 1992, where he worked as an installer for several years before being promoted to lead installer and then to project manager for Herman Miller’s SQA team and government team. In 2000, he joined Active Endeavors Inc. as a project manager and then become operations manager for the company’s presence in Colorado Springs. Jeff’s work with Active Endeavors included five months of debris cleanup in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. In 2007, he moved on to a project management role at Elements. Then, in 2009 and 2010, he worked as a building engineer for FSB Properties, managing a range of small construction jobs, painting, HVAC and electrical work.
